Client Code of Conduct and Expectations
At Blueprint Psychology, we are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for both our team members and clients. We expect all individuals interacting with our clinic to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:
Our Commitment to our clients and visitors:
Our team members will treat all clients and visitors with courtesy and respect, maintaining a professional demeanour at all times.
We prioritise best practice and optimal client care in all our interactions.
Unacceptable Behaviour:
We will not tolerate any of the following behaviours from clients or visitors:

Use of rude or offensive language, gestures, or expressions.

Verbal abuse or personal attacks.

Threatening or offensive behaviour, whether verbal or physical.

Threats of violence against individuals or property.
-
Racism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism or discriminatory actions.

Attending appointments while intoxicated with alcohol and/or drugs.

Damaging or stealing property within the clinic premises.

Actions likely to cause harassment or distress to others in the practice.

Sending abusive, intimidating, or threatening emails or telephone communications to our clinicians or administration team.
Managing Unreasonable Behaviour:
If a team member experiences disrespectful behaviour from a client or visitor:

The individual will be respectfully informed that their behaviour is unacceptable and needs to stop.

If the behaviour continues, the team member has the right to terminate the interaction.

The team member will notify their manager immediately via email and/or phone.

The manager will work with the team member to address the situation, consider necessary actions, and plan the way forward.

If the behaviour involves a current client, a file note will be recorded on the relevant client file in accordance with privacy regulations.

Ensuring Safety for All:

Help us maintain a safe environment by following these guidelines:

Communicate and behave respectfully at all times.

Refrain from using offensive language or making abusive remarks.

Avoid engaging in threatening or intimidating behaviour.

Do not attend appointments under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Respect the clinic's property and belongings.

Refrain from actions likely to distress others within the practice.

Avoid sending abusive or threatening communications to our clinicians or administration team.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour:
Individuals engaging in unacceptable behaviour will be asked to leave our premises, and their future attendance at the clinic will be discontinued. We may advise them to seek care elsewhere.
