Hello, I'm Danielle
I have a passion for creating a trusting and supportive environment for my clients. I specialise in supporting others to achieve goals, overcome challenges and promote adequate coping skills. I have extensive experience in mental health settings from Scotland to Australia, having chosen to pursue my career using a bottom-up approach. I have a passion for working across the lifespan and I am familiar with using therapies for children as well as working in mental support with adults with complex mental health presentations.

My Story
I make use of my learned skills in a combination of therapies, for example if I believe the client will benefit a collaborative approach then I will combine aspects of CBT/DBT and EFT or ACT. I have also utilised exposure therapy in the past, which has been extremely useful. I utilise a psychodynamic and person-centred approach to both assessment and therapy, as each person is unique so too should their therapy be. Therapy is the journey itself, from which we can implement interventions and upskill, learn new techniques and strategies in which we should see an improvement in re-assessment!
I studied BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University. This was the pilot course and first of its kind in Scotland, which infused learning of psychological academia and research into real life work-based application. I am currently provisionally registered as a Psychologist, and working towards general registration as a Psychologist in Australia.
When I am not working, I like to visit new places, exploring nature, watch movies/series & hang out with friends! I love dance music – anything from house to techno & DrumNBass. I also enjoy watching Formula 1, both on TV & in person
